‘𝗕𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳; 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻.’

In a world where we are told that we can be anything we want to be, we cannot be anyone that we want to be. You can be a writer, an artist or an astronaut but you have no choice but to be yourself. Maybe I should say that this is the only wise choice. You cannot pretend to be someone or something that you are not, plenty of people try but they ultimately fail. If you do succeed, you certainly won’t be happy

I have come across a fair few people making their way through life by pretending. Maybe it is easier to convince ourselves that we feel good about something or someone rather than admit that we do not. Contentment doesn’t require action so by convincing ourselves that we are happy even when we are not, we may be able to avoid making those difficult decisions. We don’t have to tell our partner that we aren’t in love with them anymore or that we aren’t happy in our relationship. We don’t have to swallow our pride and ask for help when we need it because, hey, everything is just fine! We can simply smile and keep pretending. Pretending everything is fine means not having to contend with all the fears and the potential of disapproval from loved ones if we leave it behind. Pretending is costly because we may be giving away our peace of mind and happiness.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄. 𝗦𝗼, 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳.

Maybe from the last couple of days, weeks, months, or even today is not going on the way you like to be. Emptiness at the same time, overthinking makes us feel low, disturbed, and sometimes even depressed. It’s tough to face tomorrow the unknown tomorrow, and many things will run in our minds with a lot of anxiety about that unknown.

What to do now?

Will one day everything will be okay?

If yes, then when that one day?

Let me tell you about this friend. Yes, One day everything will be okay. Every damn thing that you are facing now will be fine. In a pound of water, if I through a stone, the water will wave. Does that mean the waves will continue every day? No, it will settle down. You know it, right.

Now, when does it settle down? It settles down even you accept there is a stone fallen in my pound. Instead of that, if you feel disturbed, it takes more time to settle down that disturbance will be another stone.

What to do now? Just accept your chaos and believe one day everything will be okay. Nothing will stay forever. Today’s problem will not be there tomorrow. Tomorrow’s problem will not be there for the day after tomorrow. So, don’t stress yourself. 

DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO

The main reason to do what you love is your happiness. Finding that place doesn’t only provide contentment, but makes you more motivated and better equipped to do the best job possible. You won’t just be happier – you’ll be more productive.

Your job shouldn’t just be a source of income. If you don’t enjoy what you do, you’ll end up missing out on your life.

“As the lines between working life and personal life blur, a job is as much about personal fulfillment and growth as it is about a paycheck,”. “People don’t want to make widgets; they want to change lives, including their own.”

Your career should make you feel good emotionally, both in and out of the office.

“A job that you love … gives you extra motivation to meet your goals, and when you do, the sense of accomplishment is outstanding,” 

You will carry and radiate that success wherever you go, helping yourself in other aspects of your life.

It’s important to feel motivated and inspired in your career. Without the drive to excel, your performance will lack passion and, in turn, your work may suffer. Productivity allows you to become more efficient, which makes room for downtime and encourages work-life balance.

THE ROLE OF MEDIA IN OUR SOCIETY

In our training at Camarines Norte Provincial Information Office for Communications and Media Relations, the speaker asked us regarding the role of media in our society, here is my answer... 

"The role of media in our society is significant as it shapes the opinions, beliefs, and behaviors of individuals and communities. Through various channels such as newspapers, television, radio, and social media, media serves as a means of communication and information dissemination. 

Media also plays a crucial role in providing a platform for public opinion and discussion and highlighting crucial issues that affect society. Through investigative journalism, media exposes corruption, injustice, and other societal evils that can have significant impacts. 

Media also serves as an entertainment platform by providing a source of relaxation and enjoyment for people. Additionally, public media has a role to educate, guide, and inform the public, allowing them to make informed decisions.

Furthermore, media can act as a watchdog over the government and other institutions, keeping them accountable and preventing abuse of power. Through their role as gatekeepers, media can filter information to ensure that individuals receive accurate and reliable information.

Overall, the role of media in society is crucial, and it has immense power to shape and influence public opinion, behaviors, and attitudes."
